Who we are
Established in 2007, Help Without Frontiers Thailand Foundation (HWFTH) is a Thai NGO dedicated to empowering displaced people along the Thai-Myanmar border. Our mission is to promote, develop and ensure access to education, participation, protection, and relief assistance for vulnerable people from Myanmar, empowering them to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Help without Frontiers provides support along the Thai-Myanmar border to displaced people that find themselves in emergency situations from which they are unable to escape without assistance; most of them are children and youth, and we give them a chance for a better and brighter future.
At Help without Frontiers we focus on five core areas; Education; Youth Empowerment; Child Protection; Health; and Community Development.
Our Focus: Empowering Communities (2023-2027)
Laid out in our 5 year strategic plan, our current work is centred around five key strategic goals, each with their own sub-goals and intermediate milestones:
Education
Youth
We aim to provide vulnerable children and youth with access to suitable education pathways and career skills, that are accredited, inclusive and equitable
We aim to empower children and youth to become leaders in their communities, participate in social development, and to have more options for career development
Safe Community
We aim to ensure migrant communities can advocate and have access to a safe community environment by strengthening prevention and response to risks
Humanitarian Assistance
We aim to provide humanitarian assistance to emergency affected people on the Thai-Myanmar border, supporting their access to immediate needs, in close cooperation with partner organisations and the Thai government, in alignment with the Humanitarian Charter
Organisation
We aim to evolve as an organisation to meet changing internal and external needs, seeking ways to strengthen our own capacity
